So yesterday I discovered the joy of public transportation in Long Beach. Namely the bus system. To downtown LB only takes 20min from where I am but wow what a long 20 min! On the way there this crazy old black man who got on and seemed innocent crazy and started kind of harassing bob and me..not too badly but jusy enough to be annoying/creepy harmless old man. Then suddenly 2 older mexican americans got on and the mood changed! the crazy guy said hi to one of them and when the guy said hi back he flipped out saying “have you ever met me in your life why are you saying hi to me!” then he started saying he spits on their flag and all this other insulting stuff. The guys put up with it for about 5 min then it just kept going on and on and they started talking back. Finally got downtown
off bus.
Looked at apts with bob and there is a strange mixture of million dollar mansions and complete slums overlooking pacific ocean. Then saw Avatar 3d…prettty movie but looong. Reminded me of a ferngully the last rainforest but for adults.
Ran back to take bus back. As we were waiting on bus to go some man kinda stuck his head in and screamed “civil servants are he devil to society” or something. Then the man next to me said “I love the devil. Someone had to say it.”
I was going to ride the bus downtown to the beach tomorrow. Now im not so sure.
